Dina Weinstein, Executive Director

Since 2000 and before joining PlaNet Finance Israel, Dina has worked as a Regional Sales & Account Director for various Israeli High-Tech enterprises in the Silicon Valley of Israel, managing global mobile and IT accounts such as Deutsche Telekom and MTN

While working in the public sector, Dina held the position of International Relationship Manager for Israel’s leading hospital Sheba Medical Center where she was in charge of raising funds for the hospital’s various medical departments.

As Restitution Manager at the Central Committee for Austrian Jews in Israel, shortly after immigrating to Israel from Austria, Dina was responsible for the Austrian Mauerbach restitution campaign for Holocaust survivors living in Israel.

In 2008, Dina started to work part-time at PlaNet Finance Israel along her work in the Israeli high-tech sector, until deciding to leave the private sector for a full-time position in the non-profit sector to further promote microfinance in Israel, a concept Dina believes as being one of the most innovative and sustainable solutions against poverty in the world today.

Dina holds a Masters in Media Technology from the Höhere Graphische Versuchsanstalt in Vienna, Austria.

Alexandra Le Moniet, Junior Development Officer

Alexandra Le Moniet works as Junior Development Officer at PlaNet Finance Israel. Alexandra Le Moniet holds a Master in Modern Literature from the Paris-IV Sorbonne and will graduate from a Master in International Affairs at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris) with a Major in International Public Management in spring 2012.

After one year as an exchange student at the Royal Holloway University of London, Alexandra, drafted a thesis on the writings of Joseph Kessel in the Middle East, a region for which she developed a deep interest during her studies.

In the course of her Master at Sciences Po, Alexandra concentrated on development projects and health issues. Between 2010 and 2011, Alexandra helped complete an audit of the Fondation René Touraine, a medical foundation based in Paris. The audit focused on the foundation's communication and funding strategy.

At PlaNet Finance Israel, Alexandra assists in the development of microfinance projects, drafting of project proposals, and qualification of private and institutional donors.

MARIE LEROY, JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Marie Leroy is a recent graduate from a master's degree at the Paris Institute of Political Studies, where she majored in International Affairs with a specialization in Environment and Sustainable Development.

Marie grew up in France, but her stay in the United States, where she completed an exchange year at Tufts University in Boston, along with her experience in South East Asia, have helped her develop a strong cross-cultural sensitivity and fostered her profound interest in international development.

In the course of her postgraduate studies, Marie gained a broad theoretical knowledge on development. She has written on topics as diverse as the situation of displaced people in northern Burma, the prospects of ecological sanitation in developing countries and the financing of national sustainable development strategies.

She complemented this theoretical knowledge with a six-month experience at the United Nations in Bangkok. As an intern for the Environment Program, she conducted in-depth research on environmental governance in Asia and the Pacific.

At PlaNet Finance Israel, Marie contributes to the development of several projects, namely the first peer-to-peer Internet micro-lending platform in Israel.

Sagie Sokolov

A graduate in Psychology and Sociology from the Open University in Israel, Sagie is currently working as a technical support engineer for an Internet Service Provider in the Israeli high-tech sector.

Being fluent in Hebrew, Russian and English, before starting to work in the high-tech industry Sagie worked for leading communication agencies as translator of Russian media outlets in Israel.

Since joining PlaNet Finance Israel as a volunteer in 2010, Sagie has become an invaluable addition to the team, taking charge of administrative tasks, marketing, communication and translations.
